WAYO
Helping the next generation navigate their way through financial literacy, create their own impact legacy and make sustainable career choices.
My Path to WAYO
Becoming a parent.
Holding my newborn in my arms for the first time, I felt an overwhelming responsibility. I felt a huge heaviness on my shoulders to raise this little person to be the best version of themselves they could be and to give them the best possible start in life.
I’m sure this is the same way many parents feel. How my parents felt when I was born.
As I came out of the newborn haze, a new sense of responsibility started to form. How do we protect our precious world for the next generation? How could I encourage my children to become future leaders, changemakers and a generation that will make the world a better place?
Doing it for them
The more I looked for information to equip me on this journey to teach my children the principles of financial literacy and how to be the change in the world, I realised that there is a big disappointing void in the formal education system teaching our children the building blocks. This generated a spark and desire inside me, trying to figure out how I could play a role.
And at that moment, my passion project, WAYO was born.
My motherly responsibilities and my passion for financial inclusion, especially financial literacy and my passion for making the world a better place, were key building blocks and enablers for starting WAYO. I wanted to build a home for parents that feel the same way I do.
The Vision
My mission is to build WAYO into a multidisciplinary media source that will guide and assist you and your children during their developmental years. It is my vision for the next generation to be better informed and equipped with the necessary skill sets to make better financial and career choices. Choices that will help create lasting and positive impact for them and the world they live in.
For now, follow along on social media and my blog where I will be adding articles, resources and inspiration to help you start the conversation with your children.
